It's inevitable, winter in Wisconsin starts to feel never-ending shortly after the New Year. The holiday festivities are over, the bitter cold of winter really sets in, and the snow just keeps accumulating. During the monotony of the cold months, being intentional with your partner is extra important. Here are ten fun & unique date ideas local to Green Bay to keep your winter feeling hot.

Snowshoe at Barkhausen– Located in Suamico, Barkausen Waterfowl Preserve is a beautiful and quiet nature center. They offer snowshoe rentals Saturday & Sunday from noon-4pm on a first-come-first-serve basis. Bring your pup with you!
Taste Your Way Through Breweries/Wineries– There are many great breweries and wineries for you to try out. Besides the infamous Titletown Brewing Company (which we give a 10/10), try these other local favorites: Anaphee Brewery, Badger State Brewing, Captains Walk Winery, Noble Roots Brewing, Aardvark Wine Bar, Zambaldi Beer, & Winealot Vineyards. 
Dinner + a Stay at The Union Hotel– The Union Hotel and Restaurant is located in De Pere. Enjoy an evening in the historic establishment with delicious dinner fare, high-end cocktails and drinks, and rich local history. Everything De Pere has to offer will be right outside your hotel room!
Get Creative at Suamico Stained Glass– Located in Suamico, Suamico Stained Glass Class is a hands-on art workshop/studio. Classes run at varying times of the day/week and are for varying skill levels. Enjoy choosing beautiful glasses, cutting, soldering, and creating a unique piece. 
Brush Up on Cooking Skills at The Flour Pot– located in downtown De Pere, The Flour Pot offers cooking and baking classes for all experience levels. Owner + operator Gina G. offers many different class options and leads you through the process. 
Visit the Botanical Gardens– The Green Bay Botanical Garden is infamous for its wintertime Garden of Lights, which we highly suggest attending! GBBG also hosts a number of classes and workshops such as yoga and meditation practices, gardening workshops, and sustainability classes.
Snap Pictures at SNAP Studio– SNAP Studio is a unique space in downtown green bay. With an impressive collection of backdrops, lighting, and other visual effects, you + your boo can have fun taking sweet pictures together. 
Visit Vickery Village – Vickery Village is the heart of ‘downtown Suamico’ and is home to quaint shops, high-end restaurants, and some of the area's most beautiful scenery. Grab a bite to eat, browse the shops, and end your afternoon at Station1 Brewing. There are occasional winter events happening at Vickey Village. 
Attend a Winter Market – There are many indoor markets and craft fairs during winter. The Market on Military, The Revolution Market, the KI Center, Christkindlmarket On Broadway, and different local high schools are hosting various Winter Markets. Browse the vendors, purchase delicious food and beautiful crafts, and people-watch.
