At Bay Area Diamond Company, we are constantly pioneering for new technology, new product, and new eduation to keep us at the top of our industry. When the opportunity arose for a BADC associate to attend a GIA Diamond Grading Lab, you can be certian that Christina jumped at it.
Christina attended a week long intensive class at the Jewelers Mutual Headquarters in Menasha. We asked her to share her insights and newly learned expertise's with us, and here's what she has to say:
"This class was intense and certianly an eye-opening experience. Having been in this industry for 15+ years, I was confident in my diamond knowledge. This class taught me there's alway so much more to learn. I have become more aware of how precious & unique all the diamonds are pass through our hands each and it's exciting. I will never look at diamonds the same.
While I was in class I had the opportunity to meet some very kind jewelers from other locations. I was the only student from Wisconsin, which shocked me! This is the first time that GIA has come to this area for their grading lab, so I expected to see many more local jewelers to be joinng me in this great education experience.
This was one of my toughest courses taken but I'm very pleased I challenged myself and completed it. Understanding the incredible science behind diamonds is helping to express the incredible value they carry."
We are attaching pictures Christina snapped while at the course. We are sending a special shoutout to Krysta H. from Hanson's Fine Jewelry in Iowa, Cortnay T. from Grundwal and Kiger Fine Jewelers, and Amanda S. from Setterberg Jewlers. Christina + these ladies powered through the course with the help from one another, and had time to sneak in a fine dinner at Appolon in Appleton.
Thank you, Jewlers Mutual, for providing education to advance Bay Area Diamond Company!
