Layaway:

Merchandise can be placed on layaway with the amount of 25% or more of the purchase price for a period not to exceed 3 months. One fourth of the layaway amount is to be paid in each of the next three months. Alterations & adjustments, such as ring sizing, will be made after the balance has been paid off. Most can be done the same day or within a few days. If you would like us to hold your item after is it paid off, such as in the event of waiting for an upcoming occasion, we will be happy to hold it in our safe until you are ready to take possession.

If a layaway is cancelled, the amount deposited less a 10% restocking fee will be issued as store credit. If the restocking fee is greater than the amount deposited, the difference must be paid by the customer.

The original deposit and all subsequent payments will be forfeited if non-payment for 3 consecutive months occurs.

Financing:

Bay Area Diamond Company has several financing options to fit your needs, no matter what your credit is. For more details, click here.

Gift cards:

We offer gift cards in any denomination. We always keep information on file, just in case the recipient has lost their gift card. Gift cards never expire.

Returns & Exchanges:

Returns may be made for store credit within 14 days of purchase. The item the customer wants to return for credit must be unworn, in good condition and without any need of repair. Certain special orders and altered items may be non-returnable and/or subject to restocking fees.

Items purchased between THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS may be returned until January 15th.

Diamond Inspections:

We recommend bringing us your diamond jewelry for inspection at least every 6 months. Our jeweler will inspect the prongs to help prevent any possible damage or loss of your gemstones. This inspection service is free.

Appraisals:

We are happy to provide you with a free insurance appraisal on your purchase. For diamond jewelry purchased elsewhere, we will complete appraisals for a fee. Appraisals are performed by our owner, Brian Rouse, who has been trained by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).

Custom Work:

All custom jewelry is nonrefundable and requires a 30% deposit before the work begins. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client's complete satisfaction.
